Introducing the Cultural Medicine Series: Soul Family Medicine

Here’s a sneak peek of the Soul Family Medicines training - for health care workers and advocates in healing justice, birth justice, and antiracism in medicine.

Explore:

  • Your own biological lineage (and what trauma may sit there)

  • Your sense of connection to and solidarity with people from other cultures, without appropriating (including among BIPOC folks, ie Black-Asian dialogue)

  • Cultural medicines from your own lineage and how they are preventive medicine, public health, and trauma care

  • History and cultures of our medical systems and what we can do to protect ourselves and one another (from harms we might not even be aware of!)

  • The intersections of science and spirituality in an Afrofuturist look at medicine and public health

  • How to stay open to finding your SOUL family - that extends beyond your biological family. Who are the people who may not raise your physical body, but raise your SOUL & guide you in your calling?
